sbk + partners, LLC conducted a condition assessment of Saint Michael's Episcopal Church, a complex of two connected buildings located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia.  Like many churches, Saint Michael's houses a soup kitchen, day care and after-school music program, and provides community meeting space.

sbk assessed exterior and interior architectural materials and systems, and led a team of structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers in this comprehensive survey project.  The team provided prioritized recommendations to address such issues as water infiltration at the copper tower roof, non-functional downspouts, masonry repointing, and electrical system upgrades.  Cost estimates for all recommendations were also provided.
