Highlighted Projects: Condition Assessments
Click on a project title below for more information.
A Condition Assessment or Preservation Plan is typically used to determine a site's overall condition. It can also be used to target a specific building material or system (roof, masonry, windows, etc.). A condition assessment can assist a site steward as a basis for fundraising, establishing project priorities, and as the first step for project design and construction.
sbk has served as the prime contractor for many condition assessments, conducting architectural condition assessments or leading multi-disciplinary teams that may include structural engineers, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers, and cost estimators. At any scale, prioritized recommendations and cost estimates provide vital information for budgeting, grant writing, and fundraising.
sbk also provides Project Design services (field survey, construction documents and construction observation).
